The Executive Director of the Association of Natural Hygiene/National Health Association serves as the organization’s chief operating leader under the President and is responsible for advancing its mission to promote health through education and the principles of Natural Hygiene. This role oversees daily operations, strategic planning, program development, and organizational growth.
The Executive Director also manages conferences, publications, partnerships, and member engagement, acting as a key spokesperson and representative of the organization. Through leadership, coordination, and outreach, the position ensures the continued impact and sustainability of the Association’s educational and professional initiatives.
Wanda Huberman

Effective January 1, 2020, Wanda Huberman retired as a regional claims manager after 30 years in the casualty insurance industry to become the Association’s full-time Executive Director. Wanda has been attending NHA Conferences since 1991 and has personally managed our sold-out Conferences since 2017, where her strong organizational and management skills have been on full display. Wanda is passionate about the rich history and legacy of the NHA and is anxious for more of the world to discover it. She personifies the blessings, vitality, and personal empowerment the NHA lifestyle can offer everyone, and her goal is to grow a bigger and better NHA and secure its organizational future for decades to come.
Lynn Grudnik

Lynn began working for the American Natural Hygiene Society (ANHS)—now known as the National Health Association (NHA)—in 1995. After nearly six years of dedicated service, she was appointed Executive Director of the NHA and Editor of Health Science magazine in 2001. She held this position with distinction until her retirement in May 2014, choosing to step back to spend more time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Lynn deeply valued her time with the NHA, where she had the chance to meet inspiring individuals and promote the life-changing benefits of a healthy lifestyle. She often credited Health Science magazine with transforming her life and felt privileged to help share its message with others.
Lynn and her husband, Bud, are proud Life Members of the NHA. They have one married daughter and recently welcomed their first grandchild—a new chapter in life they cherish deeply.

James Michael Lennon

James Michael Lennon served the National Health Association (NHA) from 1980 to 2000 in a wide range of leadership roles, beginning with his appointment to the Board of Directors. In 1983, he became Director of the Herbert Shelton Library, where he oversaw the installation and cataloging of its collection at the NHA’s national headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
In 1985, Lennon was named Editor of Health Science magazine. Under his direction, the publication underwent a complete redesign and grew in prominence, featuring contributions from leading hygienic physicians and experts in the field. His editorial leadership helped transform Health Science into an award-winning journal and a respected voice in natural health.
From 1986 to 2000, Lennon served as Executive Director of the NHA. His tenure was marked by a strong commitment to restoring the NHA’s role as the scientific authority within the health movement. In collaboration with the International Association of Hygienic Physicians, he led efforts to modernize the NHA’s educational materials, organize international conferences and regional seminars across the United States, and elevate public awareness of health and wellness issues.
Lennon also played a pivotal role in national food safety advocacy. Under his leadership, the NHA helped shape and support the passage of the landmark Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 and successfully opposed the widespread irradiation of foods, solidifying the organization’s influence in public health policy.

Craig Laroche

Craig Laroche was an experienced administrator who served as executive director from 1984 to 1986. Craig’s tenure marked the start of an important new era for the NHA. His recommendations inspired the Board of Directors to redefine their roles and responsibilities, including transferring day-to-day organizational decision-making from the volunteer board to professional staff. This set the stage for the tremendous growth and success that followed. After his time with the NHA, Craig went on to become the President and CEO of Consumer Credit Counseling Services in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Jo Willard

Jo Willard was a passionate health reformer and lifelong advocate for human rights. Her dedication to these causes left a lasting impact on countless individuals, particularly through her influential weekly radio broadcasts from the University of Bridgeport’s radio station during the 1980s. Her programs introduced many listeners in Connecticut to the principles of Natural Hygiene, making her a beloved and respected voice in the community.
After overcoming arthritis through Natural Hygiene, Jo became a powerful example of the lifestyle’s potential. She served as President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Natural Hygiene Society (ANHS) and went on to hold multiple leadership roles, including ANHS Executive Director and serving several terms on the Board of Directors, helping to shape the direction of the movement during pivotal years.
Her work inspired those committed to health, compassion, and conscious living. Jo passed away on Oct. 16, 1999, at the age of 84.
