By following the basic recipe and varying the beans, the starch, the moisture and/or the spice, you can come up with dozens of varieties of burgers. They are so good — always make at least a double batch!

1 14 oz. can, no salt added, kidney beans, drained and rinsed (or 1-1/2 cup cooked kidney beans)
