Makes 1 to 1½ cups.
Ingredients:
1 large avocado
½ serrano pepper, unseeded (remove the seeds for a milder heat)
¼ cup cilantro, stem and leaves
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Black pepper to taste
- Place all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until thoroughly mixed.
- Drizzle avocado sauce on top of your favorite dish.
Chef’s Note: Serranos are five times as hot as jalapeños. You can replace the serrano with jalapeño, remove it entirely, or increase the amount to adjust the spiciness of the sauce to your taste.
