No-Chicken Broth Powder
Adapted from Everyday Happy Herbivore, by Lindsay Nixon
Looking for a delicious “chicken” broth powder without any salt? Here it is!
Makes 2.75 cups of dry mix (about 44 cups of broth).
Ingredients:
3 cups nutritional yeast
¼ cup granulated onion powder
2 tablespoons granulated
garlic powder
2 teaspoons rubbed sage (not powdered)
2 teaspoons dried thyme
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon celery seed
½ teaspoon dried parsley
pinch of black pepper (optional)
1. Blend all ingredients and store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container. (The recipe will fill a pint-sized Mason jar.)
2. To make 1 cup of broth, mix 1 tablespoon of the mixture with 1 cup of warm water.
