NHA and Keuka College Team Up for Summer Wellness Event

The National Health Association is joining forces with Keuka College to present a three-day event called Wellness Weekend at the Lake. Planned for July 12-14 on the Keuka College campus in the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes region, the weekend will feature wellness-focused programs and activities with a special focus on whole food, plant-based diets.

Featured speakers include nationally celebrated experts in the field of whole food, plant-based lifestyles:

-Vegan health educator Dr. Michael Klaper

-Whole food, plant-based nutrition pioneer Dr. T. Colin Campbell

“How Not to Die” author Dr. Michael Greger

-Popular national podcaster and author Chef AJ

-The “Conscience of the Food Movement,” Gene Baur

-American College of Lifestyle Medicine member Dr. Kerry Graff

-Founding President of the Rochester Institute of Lifestyle Medicine Dr. Ted Barnett (also known as “Dr. Veggie”

Come Camp With the Jaroudi Family & The NHA! 

We are staying at Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone, MD, for the last weekend of July 2024.

Arriving Friday, July 26th, and departing Sunday, July 28th.

You can stay at the Rocky Gap State Park Campground or The Rocky Gap Resort

While this is a very informal camping trip, and everyone is responsible for individual meals, we will have a planned event schedule. Campfires, hiking around the lake, recipe class on Saturday, and more.

Our goal is to have a relaxing weekend alongside you!

*Everyone is responsible for the room or camp spot they register for and all meals that weekend. Just like us. No other cost is included.

Ethos Farm Project is a 5019(c)3, non-profit founded to address the interconnected nature of how agriculture affects human health, planetary health, and our relationship with nature. We do so by producing truly nourishing food to feed our community and restoring the land – all while cultivating and empowering a new generation of farmers and physicians through our hands-on educational programming.

Upcoming Farm Days Festival: September 14-15, 2024.

To help us achieve our mission and vision, we host an annual Farm Days Festival at our beautiful 342 acre farm in bucolic Long Valley, NJ. It will be a weekend of insight and inspiration provided by a stellar list of guest speakers. In previous years, our speakers included: Peter Singer, Rich Roll, Drs Dean and Ayesha Sherzai, Dr Meagan Grega, Dr Columbus Batiste, Sara Farley – Vice President, Global Food Portfolio at the Rockefeller Foundation, Bob Quinn – Founder of Kamut grain and author of bestselling book: Grain to Grain, Janette Spiezio, Lianna Levine Reisner, and Dr Weiss. They spoke about plant-based nutrition, environmental health and animal advocacy, and discussed how our diets not only affect our health but also the health of the planet.


Balance for Life Retreats take place at the serene oceanfront Wyndham Resort in Deerfield Beach, FL, under the direction of the NHA’s Director of Health Education, Dr. Frank Sabatino.  Upcoming retreats are scheduled for March 3-9, March 10-16, and April 7-13.

They provide a range of rejuvenating options to support your wellness goals, including invigorating water fasting, refreshing juice cleansing, and nourishing, meticulously prepared, plant-exclusive meals without salt, oil, or sugar prepared by the BFL chef.

Check out Chef John Nowakowski’s wonderful and intimate beach retreats at the beautiful Sea Downs Resort and Bougainvillea Motel in Hollywood Beach, FL, where you will enjoy great food and lots of fun in the sun. Chef John’s retreats sell out quickly; the next two are scheduled for April 19-26 and May 14-21.

Chef John is an NHA board member and the former chef at the legendary Regency Health Spa.
