Chapters of the ANHS

Shortly after the founding of the ANHS in 1948, individual chapters were established in cities across the United States and Canada. These local chapters served as important centers for education, outreach, and community building, helping to spread the principles of Natural Hygiene to a wider audience. Members gathered for lectures, discussions, study groups, and public programs that promoted natural living, a healthful diet, and hygienic practices.

Many of these chapters were led by prominent figures in the Natural Hygiene movement, whose guidance strengthened the organization and connected local members with the ANHS’s broader mission. Through these chapters, individuals interested in health reform learned from experienced practitioners, shared ideas, and supported one another in applying hygienic principles in their daily lives.

Over time, however, many of these local chapters gradually dissolved. At present, there are no active chapters, though the historical role they played was significant in expanding the reach and influence of the Natural Hygiene movement.
